For great effect may
be produced by dwelling on a single point, and by
setting forth our facts in such a striking manner
that they seem to be placed before the eyes as
vividly as if they were taking place in our actual
presence. This is especially effective in stating a
case or for the purpose of illuminating and amplifying the facts in course of statement, with a view to
making our audience regard the point which we
amplify as being as important as speech can make
it.”
